A truly unique piece - the face of  Lord Ganesha with an accompanying mouse carved into Seraphinite, with the beauty of the natural rough edge left exposed. Lord Ganesha is one of the most widely worshipped gods in the Hindu pantheon. Most prominently known as the remover of obstacles and bringer of good luck, Ganesha is also worshipped at the beginnings of rites and ceremonies, and before beginning a new chapter or venture in life. He is the patron of arts and sciences, and deva of intellect and wisdom. There is usually a mouse present in his depictions, which is said to represent desire and the lower-natured urges. Ganesha mounting the mouse symbolises his conquest of the lower nature.

ABOUT SERAPHINITE

Seraphinite comes from a specific type of clinochlore. This is a relatively rare mineral which is part of the chlorite group, and can only be found in Russia. In feng shui, seraphinite is said to bring wood energy, associated with growth, new developments, health and vitality.

ABOUT THE ARTIST - Ram Kumar

Ram Kumar is the artist behind some of our most incredible masterpieces here at Mystik River. Ram Kumar’s sculptures are inspired by Indian and Tibetan Gods and Goddesses. Following on from his father Mr. Hanuman and grandfather, both accomplished artists in their time, Ram has continued the family tradition.

Working predominantly with semi-precious stones and high grade crystals, his work focuses on Tibetan Buddha figures and Indian gods as Ganesh, Shiva, Buddha, Laxmi and Tibetan Tara. His sculptures radiate grace and elegance as he mixes his art with some very high grade semi-precious gemstones such as Labradorite, Tiger’s Eye, Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz Crystal. His ability to refine the natural beauty of crystals and gems in his sculptures is unlike anything you will experience.

Note: With all hand made stone and wood sculptures, there might be some natural erosion with cracks and spots, but that adds to the one of a kind pieces that we sell here at Mystik River.
